How do you get a song on your micro sd memory card to be a ringtone for the LG Xenon?

I added a song from itunes onto my memory card that goes into my phone, the LG Xenon. I even did the whole "acc file" and converted the file to a .m4r file. now i cant get it opened to be one of my ringtones. Also, is there an easier way to get free ringtones onto the Xenon?
