Im in Michigan. Jayco dealer in Grand Rapids is giving me a hard time saying they don't have to.Since I cancelled the deal on my new RV. The dealership doesn't want to return my 500$ deposit. Must they?
I sell cars for living for 11 years and that is illegal.Go to the General Manager and tell him nice that you will take them to small claims if they don't give you back your money.Don' fight,be polite and I guaranty that you will get your money back.

If not than go to the small claims and you better have a recipe to prof that money.

depending on whathe agreement was but that is really the nature of a deposit.you pay a deposit for them to hold it and potentially lose a sale to someone else.....if you back out they keep the money.i highly doubt you are entitled to any money back.Since I cancelled the deal on my new RV. Dealerships do not need bad press these days, perhaps a letter to the editor at the Good Sam's Club might get them to deal with you.
