put a brake contrller on my ford ranger xlt,for my jayco kiwi rv,and when i press the brake pedal down the light on the barke controller turns red ,but the brakes on the jayco don't work,also with the brake pedal pressed down ,and the hard button pulled all the way to the right ,i only get 3.50 volts,is the controler or my brakes. also when i plug it up i hear a hum ,is this normal,thank.Put a brake controller omy ford ranger for my jayco kiwi and the light on the controler turn red when i push t?
you should get te red light when the brakes are pushed on the side of your controller there should be a knob to increase your voltage it would help to have the model of the controller
would think that would be a new enough one to not have mercury in it here are some sites maybe they can help if not take it to a camper dealer they could help
