2006 FORD F150 V6 carrying a 1500 LB Cabover Camper?

I just picked up a 1996 Jayco POP-UP cab over camper for $1,100, I bought it because it is in mint condition and only used a few times. Now I want to mount it onto my 2006 FORD F150 V6 Triton. They say the camper weighs 1500 LBS, is my Ford capable of carrying the camper? I will also be getting air bags.2006 FORD F150 V6 carrying a 1500 LB Cabover Camper?
With the v-6 it will be a little problematic for hills and mountain areas (Mostly where I go when camping). As long as you know that you CANNOT PULL A TRAILER BEHIND THAT LOAD, you should be o.k on level terrain. Life expectancy of truck will be shortened.2006 FORD F150 V6 carrying a 1500 LB Cabover Camper?
it'll do it, but you'll be going slower up hills and accelerating slower. and do not put a trailer behind it. if you want to make sure, put the camper on it, hit a weigh station and compare the weight with the GVW or gross vehicle weight on the sticker inside the drivers door frame. if the weight of the truck and camper is less than the GVW then you are in the clear.2006 FORD F150 V6 carrying a 1500 LB Cabover Camper?
It'll move it, but you won't like it. That's too much weight for that truck and too much for that engine.
You should have an F250 with a 5.4 for that load.
It will be fine, but your mileage may suffer..
