Bought a JVC LED-Backlit LCD HDTV with ATSC, NTSC, QAM. Do I need a converter box? Using in my new Jayco trailer with antenna booster. Couldn't get any channels last week even after the CH scan. Any suggestions? Only one way to set this up and I followed directions. Thanks.Digital Converter and TV?
You don't need a converter; your TV has the proper tuner. Your problem is either your antenna, or your location (distance) relative to the TV's transmitting towers. 95% of all poor reception problems with over-the-air digital TV are solved by improving the antenna, including its coaxial downlead.
If by "booster" you're referring to any type of in-line amplifier, that's another long story. Short version: "boosters" often cause more problems than they solve. A better antenna is always preferable over an in-line amplifier.Digital Converter and TV?
Try one of the following sites for channel distance and location. Enter the address, or location where your trailer is located. It will give you distance and antenna pointing information. You'll definitely need an outdoor antenna that can be rotated to point at the transmitters. A trailer is a steel box, not exactly conducive to good TV reception with indoor antennas.
