I want to buy an HID xenon converter kit that comes with the low beam bulbs. But I also seperatly want to buy high beam bulbs. So can I just hook up the high beams to the converter and have both the high and low beam bulbs connected to the converter box?Can I hook up high and low beam light bulbs to an HID xenon converter box?
Why can I not just replace the halogen bulb in my vehicle with XENON HID lamps with out having to purchase the entire kit?
Motorcycles and automobiles currently use a 12-volt electrical system for their headlamps. XENON HID lighting systems require over 20,000 volts to ignite the bulbs. Once lit, they only require 35 watts to keep running. Our kits include a power pack or (Ballast) that is necessary for the lamps to turn on and to regulate the voltage. The input of the power pack is 9-16 volts. It is an integral part of the system. You DO NOT require any additional components to install the XENON HID lamp into the original socket of the halogen bulb. But a HID kit is a system not just a pair of high dollar bulbs even the wires that connect the bulbs to the ballasts are special high voltage lines made just for this purpose. Can I hook up high and low beam light bulbs to an HID xenon converter box?
no you can't. the converter box which is called the ballast has only one connection each. you'd have to buy another set of ballasts for your high beams. i would not recommend buying a set of HIDs for your high beams thoguh. you're gonna piss a lot of peopel off with them on.Can I hook up high and low beam light bulbs to an HID xenon converter box?
the circuits to the high and low beams are separate, if the box has an independent output for high beams it should be OK but it is a strange conversion kit that doesn't do both, are you sure it is legal in your state
