By the way, the brights work fantastic! Why did my stock headlights work better than my Xenon headlights do?
Have you tried to adjust the beam on each light? There should be two adjustment screws for each light, one adjust up and down( how far or near the beam shines) and the other adjust beam left or right. Why did my stock headlights work better than my Xenon headlights do?
If you touched the glass bulb with your bare fingers, they could be almost burnt out. The oil off your skin will burn when the bulb gets hot, eventually burning a hole in the glass. Try putting the old bulbs back in, if they still do well, either the bulbs are bad, or the headlights need to be aimed. If the old bulbs aren't that bright, there is a high resistance problem in the low beam circuit. Why did my stock headlights work better than my Xenon headlights do?
This sounds like one of two things, Color temperature or wattage on the bulbs.
If you switch the color temperature on the bulbs to a cooler (blue) or warmer (yellow) it will affect the brightness of the bulb. If you go with bright white it will give better distance.
Also, bulbs are made for the same base with different wattages. This works just like your regular house bulbs. Either 35 or 50 watt are standard and you may have mistakenly gotten the lower wattage than stock.
