What's the difference between Google Chrome from a regular browser?

I'm thinking about updating my Internet browser cuz, mine's pretty outdated. What advatages/differences from a regular browser (eg. Internet Explorer)? I want a slick, new browser, so I need to know what it does! Thank you all!!!!What's the difference between Google Chrome from a regular browser?

Google chrome is different from other browsers because it treats each tab as a different process. Meaning that if one tab freezes or crashes the whole browser doesn't go down. Google Chrome is just like other web browsers. It just doesn't have as many buttons and stuff and you can't choose your homepage.
