One way you might try is to do a system restore back to just before you updated Google Chrome. If that works, be sure to export your favorites (bookmarks) to a file on your HD, and that way you don't ever have to do that again.

Google chrome deleted all my bookmarks?
so i turned my computer on and opened google chrome and NO bookmarks ii had so many i tried updating google chrome and it installed a new version. any way to get them back? please answer thank youGoogle chrome deleted all my bookmarks?
