Pop up Chat in Facebook using Google Chrome?

I am using Google Chrome and up til now my chat window in Facebook was standard i.e. bottow right of screen little window...

It suddenly changed tonight to a big window popping up in my top left corner also mentioning I am using an old browser.

I don't think the browser is an old version (unless there's been an update...).

happened to me to! hope someone can help!
Facebook's engineers "forgot" to include Chrome's user_agent string under the good list. Reasons for this include:

1) Stupidity

2) The engineer might be a purist and think any browser other than firefox is not good (because he is so smart and knows everything).



In my personal experiences Firefox has more problems with facebook chat than any browser (especially the Linux version) because it has a crappier javascript engine (though the new patches are helping a bit). So screw you Facebook.Pop up Chat in Facebook using Google Chrome?

and log the complaint with Facebook. Hopefully if enough people do it, the Facebook staff will realized they screwed up.

Same. And I don't know if it's just me but if I click anything on Facebook it'll log me off of Facebook chat until the new page loads.
